Taiwan
A photographic road trip around Taiwan, from the cities of the west coast to Taroko Gorge, Jiufen and Taipei.
Taiwan in photographs: ten days and almost 1,300 kilometres around the island, through neon-lit cities, mountain lakes, temples, night markets and the storm-scarred Taroko Gorge.
The gallery follows our route from Taichung down the west coast and back north along the Pacific, finishing in Jiufen, Taipei and at the island’s northernmost point.
There’s an island between the South China Sea and the East China Sea that’s about the size of the Netherlands, and today we know it as Taiwan. In the autumn of 2024, we went there as an international team of four to check it out. We rented a car and drove around in a counterclockwise direction. Below are most of the photos I took along the way, but if you’re interested in some (possibly) interesting realities, I recommend reading the full story about our Taiwan roadtrip.
We got to check out the local ZOO in Taipei. The main attraction is the Great Panda, but the whole ZOO is really nicely designed and perfect place for hanging out before a flight .
